How can I confirm my booking?

Once you have completed your booking, you will receive a confirmation email. If you booked through an OTA (Booking.com, Expedia, etc.), the confirmation will be sent by that platform. Please check your spam folder.

How does check-in work? Is there a receptionist?

Access is self-service (self check-in). You will receive instructions by email 24 hours beforehand, including the building access code and key-box code. If you do not receive them, please contact us in advance.

What time are check-in and check-out?

Check-in is from 3:00 pm and check-out is before 11:00 am. If you need to arrive earlier or leave later, please ask us in advance. Luggage storage is available.

How far away is the Alhambra?

It is a 5–8-minute walk. From the apartment, walk up Cuesta de Gomérez, pass through Puerta de las Granadas and continue 400–500 metres through the forest to the entrance pavilion. It is the most beautiful and historic route. Book the Nasrid Palaces in advance.

Does the apartment have a dishwasher?

Yes. Dúplex Gomérez is one of the few holiday apartments in Granada with a dishwasher. It is a genuine advantage over most other accommodation and is ideal for stays of 3 nights or more.

How many guests can it accommodate?

Up to 4 guests: 1 double bedroom upstairs and a 180 cm double sofa bed in the downstairs living room.

Is there parking nearby?

Ave María car park (C/ Molinos, 63) is about an 8-minute walk away. Trex car park (Plaza de los Campos) is also about 8 minutes away. Cuesta de Gomérez has traffic restrictions from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, but vehicles can still enter. We recommend parking on arrival and getting around on foot.

What is the cancellation policy?

The conditions depend on the rate booked. Flexible rates allow free cancellation up to 24–48 hours beforehand. Non-refundable rates cannot be cancelled. Check the conditions when booking.

Dúplex Gomérez is on Cuesta de Gomérez, a steep street, and the apartment is reached by climbing stairs. It is also a duplex, with internal stairs connecting the living room (lower floor) and the bedroom (upper floor). The apartment is not adapted for guests with reduced mobility.

The historic centre is a restricted-access area monitored by number-plate cameras, but you are treated as a resident during your stay. We register your vehicle number plate free of charge with Granada City Council’s Mobility Department so you can drive in to drop off your luggage without being fined. Just send us your number plate when you arrive.

On the historic route to the Alhambra

Cuesta de Gomérez is Granada’s most famous street: the only pedestrian route from the city to the Alhambra. This same cobbled path, walked by millions of travellers over the centuries and lined with artisan guitar-makers’ workshops and Arab craft shops, leads to the monumental Puerta de las Granadas and the elm and cypress forest on Sabika hill.

The apartment occupies the first floor of number 39, on the upper stretch of the Cuesta. From the front door, it is only 400–500 metres through shaded forest to the Alhambra entrance pavilion. The balcony offers direct views of Puerta de las Granadas, the Renaissance arch most tourists pass through without stopping.

Granada’s most famous street

Every visitor walking to the Alhambra passes along it. The artisan guitar makers, flamenco and Arab craft shops, and the street’s atmosphere make it unique. Staying here for a few days is a completely different experience from the usual tourist centre.

Atmosphere

Lively by day as visitors make their way to the Alhambra. Quiet at night — tourists walk up and down but do not linger. At sunset, the street is almost yours.

Art and craftsmanship

Casa Ferrer, Guitarras Bellido and other master guitar makers have worked on the same street for generations. They have helped earn Granada its international reputation for flamenco guitar making.

Food and drink

La Gran Taberna at the foot of the Cuesta, Calle Navas 4 minutes away and the terraces of Plaza Nueva 2–3 minutes away. Paseo de los Tristes is 10 minutes away, with the illuminated Alhambra as a backdrop.

Nature

The Alhambra forest begins 50 metres away. Elms, cypresses and historic fountains, with shaded walks before the tour groups arrive.

Access by car: traffic restrictions apply from 7:30 am to 10:30 pm, but vehicles can still enter. Take ring-road exit 13 → Recogidas → continue straight at the yellow traffic sign → Reyes Católicos to Plaza Nueva → turn right onto Cuesta de Gomérez (at La Gran Taberna) → continue uphill to number 39.
